Jack Concklin, Irene Carboneau and Heather Basey are the planning group who have worked hard in the planning process for the 2010 planned Flight.  Due to the lack of support from the Emmaus community for a Kitchen head for the 2008 walks, the board agreed to request help from nearby Emmaus communities with the selection of the Kitchen Heads.  Pastor Paul reported that he has a list of nearly 1,500 members of the TC Area Emmaus Community who have served on Walks and Flights in the past.  The Board is concerned that among this group, not one member of the community has accepted the call to serve as Kitchen Head on either walk.  The members of the board present at the meeting agreed that they would do whatever was needed to NOT cancel another Walk, even if it meant searching for volunteers outside of our own community.</FONT></div> <bR> <div> Midland Emmaus plan Chrysalis Flights</div> <div> <B>Traverse City: May 7, 2008.</B><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >  Interested now in sponsoring a youth, ages 15-18, on a flight?  Then take a look at the Midland Emmaus website and sign up now.  Jim Birch will be the LD at the Boys' Flight on July 31 -August 3, 2008 at First United Methodist Church of Midland, and Della Keyworth will lead the Girls' Flight at the same location on July 17-20, 2008.  </FONT><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000099" FACE="Albert" ><A HREF="http://www.midmichiganemmaus.com/chrysalis.php" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.midmichiganemmaus.com/chrysal"><U>Click here for more information.</U></A></FONT></div> <bR> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <A HREF="#top" TITLE="News and Newsletters"><U>return to the top of the page</U></A></div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
